Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a senior strategist in specialty pharmacy network design and contracting. You will shape affordability strategies, evaluate market opportunities, and drive cost reductions while preserving member access and regulatory compliance.

You will lead network optimization, pricing methodologies, and cross-department collaborations, delivering actionable plans to senior leadership and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field, or 7+ years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, evaluate, and implement specialty pharmacy network strategies and contracting opportunities.
• Develop and execute network optimization strategies including pricing methodologies.
• Support strategic planning, financial analysis, and business case development for contracting decisions.
• Translate network dynamics into clear strategic recommendations for executives.
• Present strategies and impact assessments to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with other departments and external partners on affordability solutions.
• Monitor industry and regulatory trends affecting network performance and cost management.
• Organize and communicate progress across the network strategy portfolio.
