Job summary

Gulfshoresal seeks a seasoned Stormwater Operations Manager to lead Sarasota County stormwater activities. You will supervise 35–40 staff, manage daily operations, coordinate with engineering and services, and guide safety, staffing, and budgeting decisions.

The role offers a substantial salary range ($95,000–$112,000 annually) with relocation support and benefits starting within 60 days of hire. Candidates must have degree with supervisory experience and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of progressively responsible related experience OR Master’s degree with four or more years of related experience
• Six (6) years supervisory/management experience
• Valid Florida driver's license at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for stormwater operations, including daily functions and emergency response
• Supervise and coordinate activities of field crews and supervisory staff
• Plan, schedule, and manage routine maintenance and operational activities
• Coordinate staffing and deploy personnel and equipment for scheduled and emergency work
• Monitor workload distribution, crew assignments, and equipment utilization
• Ensure compliance with regulations including safety procedures and equipment use
• Develop long-range maintenance plans and support stormwater initiatives with engineering teams
• Prepare and manage operating budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation
• Manage materials, supplies, and inventory to support operations
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff
