Job summary

Prince George’s County Government is seeking an experienced manager to provide executive oversight of flood control and stormwater infrastructure projects within the Office of Storm Drain Maintenance (OSDM). This role focuses on regulatory compliance, inspections, grants, and risk mitigation, with supervision of staff and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited College or University in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental activities.
• A Valid Driver's License.
• Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior-level program and project management support for SWM, flood control infrastructure, including levee systems and pump stations.
• Leads planning and execution of CIP for SWM Facility Restoration, prioritizing projects based on assessments and regulatory requirements.
• Manages the County’s program of over 900 stormwater facilities, including inspection protocols, maintenance priorities, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and administers project management and tracking systems for SWM CIP projects; ensures compliance with laws and permits.
• Oversees emergency operations involving levees and pump stations, including pre/post-event damage assessments.
• Coordinates with USACE, FEMA, MDE, and other agencies; prepares documentation and corrective action plans.
• Directs preventive and corrective maintenance activities, regulatory documentation, and operational readiness.
• Drives program performance, budgeting, and achievement of established goals within funding levels.
