Job summary

City of Corpus Christi is seeking an Engineer V to support the Public Works Storm Water division. The role includes supervising daily operations, planning, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on storm water projects, plans, and safety programs.

A Professional Engineer license and extensive experience are required. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a comprehensive city benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) is required.
• Nine (9) years of experience required.
• Professional Engineer License is required.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license or be able to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Assistant Director with Storm Water maintenance operations and planning issues.
• Oversee preparation of plans, sketches, estimates and bid packages for Storm Water projects.
• Coordinate with City departments, public agencies, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead and evaluate contracts, studies and reports related to Storm Water operations and environmental items.
• Perform design computations, plan reviews and ensure constructability of plans.
