Job summary

Binding Minds Inc. is seeking an experienced Planning Designer to develop fixture plans and architectural criteria for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects.

You will balance site requirements, budgets, and planning standards while creating specification-compliant drawings. The role requires 8+ years in related planning fields, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/REVIT), and retail fixture experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related planning experience in retail design, store planning, interior design, or architecture.
• AutoCAD/ACAD is required; REVIT experience is required and should be clearly demonstrated on the resume/summary.
• Retail store and fixture layout experience is preferred, though architectural firm experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, architecture, construction procedures, and building codes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Preferred education: Associate's degree/certificate in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, or Interior Design.

• Collaborate with Store Planning, Design, Construction, Operations, Merchandise Planning, Architects, and external consultants.
• Troubleshoot site-specific planning and construction challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Review site surveys and existing conditions and develop plans for design-build projects.
• Provide technical guidance to Store Planners and outside consultants and help ensure projects stay on schedule.

• Hybrid schedule with Tuesday and Wednesday onsite.
