Job summary

Foot Locker in Norman, OK is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to energize the sales floor, coach the team, and deliver strong customer experiences daily. This hands-on leader will drive sales results, train associates, and maintain store operations with a focus on ownership and accountability.

As Manager on Duty when scheduled, you will oversee opening/closing, staffing, and safety procedures while ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with an energetic, solution-focused mindset.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support store goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; take ownership of store execution.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled; assist hiring, onboarding, and training.
