Job summary

Acquire Me is seeking a Senior Storage Systems Engineer to design and optimise high‑performance storage infrastructure for a demanding compute environment. You will work on software underpinning large‑scale distributed systems, focusing on storage performance, reliability and efficiency across production infrastructure.

This deeply technical role covers filesystems, storage engines, I/O and low‑level systems programming. Strong foundations in CS and exceptional problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert level C++ programming (Rust or C beneficial).

We're looking for a Senior Storage Systems Engineer to help build and optimise the storage infrastructure supporting one of the world's most performance critical computing environments.

You'll work on software that underpins large scale distributed systems, improving storage performance, reliability and efficiency across production infrastructure. This is a deeply technical role where you'll tackle challenging problems spanning filesystems, storage engines, I/O and low level systems programming.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Linux systems programming
• Experience with concurrency, asynchronous I/O and performance optimisation
• Excellent knowledge of storage architecture, memory hierarchy and CPU performance
• Passion for solving complex systems engineering challenges

Academic Background

Candidates should have an exceptional academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline. Strong foundations in operating systems, storage systems, distributed systems, algorithms and computer architecture are highly valued.
