Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Global Financial Services (GFS) Specialist team. In this role, you will work with customers, introduce new technologies, and adopt new solutions.

You will surface customer insights to product teams and provide thought leadership to customers and partners. In this role, you will run technical go-to-market initiatives, surface customer insights to product teams, and provide thought leadership through forums

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• Experience communicating with executive stakeholders and both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 8+ years of experience across technology domains (cloud, software, systems, networking, data & analytics).

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer to influence feature development and roadmaps.
• Provide advanced technical guidance to unblock customers’ most critical challenges.
• Design and deploy storage and data strategies for large-scale applications.
• Share best practices through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and events.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define go-to-market concepts and initiatives.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader Solutions Architect population.

Key job responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies,
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class Go to Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
• Experience in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications
• Experience with distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
