Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering/architecture.
• Strong experience with Pure Storage FlashArray block storage.
• Strong experience with Rubrik r6000 data protection.
• Experience with Brocade G-Series fabric switches.
• Experience with Dell or Hitachi storage.
• Experience with NetApp or Dell EMC Unity.
• Experience engineering and operating hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong scripting experience: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi/ESX hypervisors.

Responsibilities

• Understand architecture, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage and data protection solutions.
• Develop and maintain storage blueprints, reference architectures, technology standards, strategic roadmaps, and lifecycle strategies.
• Design future-state storage and data protection architectures and transition plans.
• Provide architecture governance and technical design reviews for strategic infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate emerging storage technologies, vendor roadmaps, and market trends.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Product Managers, Vendor Managers, and technology partners on product strategy and adoption.
• Support capacity planning, scalability, performance architecture, data protection, cyber resiliency, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Define architecture and provide solution options to address complex technical challenges.
• Lead architecture discussions, PoCs, and technical experiments.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Storage Engineer to lead the architecture, engineering, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage and data protection solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with
Pure Storage FlashArray, Rubrik r6000, and Brocade G-Series fabric switches, along with experience supporting hybrid cloud, enterprise infrastructure, resiliency, and disaster recovery initiatives.

The role will provide technical leadership across storage architecture, product engineering, capacity planning, performance, cyber resiliency, and technology modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the architecture, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage and data protection solutions.


• Develop and maintain storage blueprints, reference architectures, technology standards, strategic roadmaps, and lifecycle strategies.


• Design future-state storage and data protection architectures and transition plans.


• Provide architecture governance and technical design reviews for strategic infrastructure projects.


• Evaluate emerging storage technologies, vendor roadmaps, and market trends to identify innovation opportunities.


• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Product Managers, Vendor Managers, and technology partners on product strategy and adoption.


• Support capacity planning, scalability, performance architecture, data protection, cyber resiliency, and disaster recovery initiatives.


• Define architecture and provide solution options to address complex technical challenges.


• Lead architecture discussions, proof-of-concepts, and technical experiments.


• Perform design and code reviews to ensure security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met.


• Provide technical guidance and educate engineering teams on storage best practices and standardization.


• Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership, engineering teams, risk organizations, and project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering/architecture.


• Strong experience with Pure Storage FlashArray block storage.


• Strong experience with Rubrik r6000 series data protection solutions.


• Experience with
  Brocade G-Series fabric switches.


• Experience with block storage technologies such as
  Dell or Hitachi.


• Experience with file storage such as
  NetApp or Dell EMC Unity.


• Experience engineering and operating hybrid cloud environments, including data coherency between on-premises and cloud platforms.


• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.


• Experience with testing, SDLC practices, and product engineering.


• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.


• Familiarity with VMware ESXi/ESX hypervisors.


• Strong understanding of enterprise storage architecture, resiliency, scalability, and disaster recovery.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with backup technologies such as NetWorker or Data Domain.


• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Kibana.


• Experience with product testing, product engineering, and code certification.


• Strong architecture documentation and stakeholder communication skills
