Job summary

Full Visibility LLC seeks a Senior Storage Engineer to architect and administer a petabyte-scale, multi-vendor storage environment supporting critical federal systems across dispersed sites. You will own the full storage lifecycle and be the program's technical authority on storage.

You will design tiered architectures, manage migrations, and ensure security, compliance, and 24/7 operations while interfacing with ATO activities and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Active Top Secret clearance/SCI eligibility required.
• Enterprise storage and infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and administer a multi-site, petabyte-scale storage environment.
• Manage tiered storage, migrations, and capacity planning to meet SLA requirements.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot object storage platforms and SAN/NAS environments.
• Automate provisioning and maintain security/compliance posture including STIGs and audits.

Job description

Full Visibility is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to architect and administer a petabyte-scale, multi-vendor storage environment supporting mission-critical federal systems across geographically dispersed sites. This role owns the full storage lifecycle — architecture, procurement, deployment, optimization, compliance, and decommissioning — and serves as the program’s technical authority on storage, working with a high degree of autonomy in support of continuous 24/7 operations.CandidatemustpossessanactiveTop Secret/SCI eligibleclearanceand mustbe able to obtain a CI Poly successfully.

The Senior Storage Engineer will be responsible for designing and managing tiered, multi-site storage architectures that meet capacity, performance, availability, and SLA requirements while forecasting growth and executing storage migrations, refreshes, and consolidations. The Senior Storage Engineer will install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot object storage platforms including Dell EMC ECS, DataCore Caringo Swarm, and VAST, while administering S3-compatible storage and supporting S3 API integrations. The Senior Storage Engineer will administer multi-vendor SAN/NAS environments, including NetApp ONTAP clusters, as well as Dell PowerEdge servers, blade infrastructure, and Spectra Logic BlackPearl tape and archive systems. The Senior Storage Engineer will automate provisioning with Ansible, maintain firmware and OS patching, and ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Senior Storage Engineer will support ATO activities through technical documentation and security justifications while identifying, remediating, and documenting STIG findings for audits.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance/with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, ora relatedtechnical field. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Enterprise storage and infrastructure engineering experience inanproduction environment.
• Hands-on SAN, NAS, or object storage administration at enterprise scale.
• Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) and Windows Server administration.
• Storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS, and S3.
• PowerShell and Bash scripting; familiarity with Ansible or Puppet.

Desired:

• Dell EMC ECS, DataCoreCaringoSwarm, VAST, and VAST Data, or NetApp ONTAP.
• Elasticsearch/ELK clusteradministration.
• Hyperconvergedinfrastructure (VxRail,VxFlex) and virtualization (VMwareESXi, Hyper-V).
• Spectra Logic tape and archive operations.
• STIG remediation and RMF/ATO support.
• Storage vendor management and procurement.

This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local market conditions, and candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. A reasonable salary range for this position is 220-240K.
