Job summary

JCS Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to lead enterprise storage design, implementation, and optimization at Fort Belvoir. You will manage NetApp, Dell EMC, and Hitachi arrays, ensuring high availability and security in a DoD environment.

Strong troubleshooting, virtualization, and DR planning are required. Applicants must have Active TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certifications.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification at time of consideration.
• Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years or master's with 6–10 years of prior experience.
• Strong storage systems architecture and lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience with NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, VMware vSAN and related tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and admin of enterprise storage.
• Maintain highly available, scalable storage for file/block/hybrid workloads.
• Provision, configure, upgrade, migrate, and decommission storage.
• Manage pools, LUNs, file systems, snapshots, replication, and quotas.
• Administer SAN/NAS, including FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS.
• Ensure DISA STIG compliance and DoD security requirements.
• Monitor health, capacity, performance, and trends; advise on expansions.
• Troubleshoot storage, replication, latency, pathing, and connectivity.
• Plan data migrations with minimal downtime; support DR/BC plans.
• Mentor junior admins and maintain storage docs and runbooks.
