Senior Storage Administrator

Overview

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Entarian is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator for a mixed and growing environment of various storage hardware. Salary range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00.

Responsibilities

• Work with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for the program and its customers.
• Assist with implementing new system hardware and software and provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed.
• Be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the systems and providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed.
• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• CompTIA Security+.
• Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) – can be waived for 30 days after project join date.
• Experience in Computer Science or IT.
• Minimum three years’ experience in design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems.
• Minimum three years’ experience maintaining storage and network policies and standards.
• Minimum three years’ experience refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of application development staff.
• Minimum three years’ experience creating, maintaining, and following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Minimum three years’ experience with MS‑Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments.
• Minimum three years’ experience administering applicable storage networks.
• Minimum three years’ experience with VMWare 7.x or greater.
• Minimum three years’ experience with network communication (IP based).
• Installation and configuration experience of backup software with Windows Server 2019, Solaris 11, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher.
• Experience with both Windows Powershell and Bash shell scripting.
• Strong CLI skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience.
• Three or more years’ experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA‑V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA).
