Discord is seeking a Senior Stock Plan Administrator to join our Stock Administration team, supporting global equity programs including grants, vesting, exercises, and reporting. The role collaborates with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and HR, ensuring SOX compliance and accurate equity data across platforms.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in stock plan administration, experience with private and public companies, and familiarity with Carta.
This is a senior individual contributor role at one of the most recognized consumer tech brands in gaming — offering strong career development in a specialized, high-demand niche.
Compensation vs. market: The $132K–$148.5K base is competitive for a Senior Stock Plan Administrator nationally, though slightly below San Francisco Bay Area top-end rates (where senior equity roles at large tech companies can reach $160K–$180K base). The equity component (not quantified in the posting) could be significant given Discord's pre-IPO/growth stage.
Green flags: Reporting directly to a Senior Manager signals visibility. The role spans both operational execution and strategic compliance, building a well-rounded profile. Discord's scale (hundreds of millions of users) means real complexity in the equity program.
Yellow flags: The CEP certification is listed as a bonus, not a requirement — suggesting the team may be less formalized than at a large public company. For professionals seeking a clear IPO event to crystallize equity value, Discord's timeline is uncertain.
Ideal for someone targeting a path toward Director of Stock Administration or equity-focused finance leadership at a high-growth tech company.
Headquarters: San Francisco Bay Area or Remote (U.S.)
