Duke University School of Law seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Law Donor Relations to join the Alumni and Development Office. The role focuses on strengthening donor engagement through stewardship initiatives, personalized communications, and collaborative engagement with alumni and leadership.

The position requires outstanding writing, relationship-building, and project-management skills, with a focus on confidential donor information and strategic communications across Duke’s Law

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of fundraising, alumni affairs, public relations, student activities, or related field experience.
• Experience handling confidential donor information with discretion.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities for donor communications.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy that strengthens engagement with the Law School's philanthropic supporters.
• Develop meaningful donor recognition experiences through impact reports, events, publications, and stewardship initiatives.
• Manage the Law School's lifetime giving societies and collaborate with development officers on donor engagement opportunities.
• Partner with Regional Directors, Annual Giving, and advancement colleagues to create customized stewardship plans for key donors.
• Oversee scholarship and fellowship stewardship programs and coordinate donor communications and reports.
• Lead named professorship stewardship by tracking recipients and supporting recognition events.
• Write, design, and produce gift acknowledgment communications for leadership-level donors.
• Conduct donor research to tailor acknowledgment letters and stewardship messages.
• Develop campaign-specific donor recognition strategies aligned with fundraising priorities.
