Job summary

Duke University School of Law is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Law Donor Relations to join the Alumni and Development Office. This role strengthens relationships with alumni, donors, and friends by crafting stewardship experiences that showcase impact and philanthropic support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years fundraising or related field experience.
• Experience with donor relations, stewardship, alumni engagement.
• Experience with donor database systems (DADD, Enquire) or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy.
• Develop donor recognition experiences through reports and events.
• Manage lifetime giving societies and milestone recognitions.
• Partner with Regional Directors and university advancement colleagues.
• Oversee scholarship and fellowship stewardship programs.
• Lead named professorship stewardship efforts and reports.
• Write and produce gift acknowledgment communications.
• Conduct donor research and craft personalized letters.
• Develop campaign-specific donor recognition strategies.
• Document and improve stewardship processes and workflows.
• Represent the Law School in donor relations communities.
• Participate in major Law School events.
