Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Sterilization Scientist to develop and maintain sterilization processes for orthopedic medical devices. You will contribute to end‑to‑end strategies for sterile and non‑sterile portfolios and collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure product safety and efficacy.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in sterilization, strong microbiology knowledge, and familiarity with FDA, MDR, ISO13485, and related guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years in Medical Device/Pharma/ Food Science with sterilization experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate microbiology and cleanliness concepts for manufacturing processes or finished devices.
• Ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met with Product Development teams.
• Perform sterilization validations and product adoptions of new products.
• Support compliance audits (regulatory and supplier audits).
• Conduct technical assessments of contract sterilizers, manufacturers, and laboratories.
