Description


Responsible for providing assistance and support for clinical staff in the Operating Room. Serves as the central point of contact for OR Clinical Staff, SPD, and General Stores. Assists with location and transport of case carts. Troubleshoots instrument problems. Able to recommend alternatives when desired instrumentation is unavailable. Facilitates the instrument fast turn-over process. Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments in the Operating Room following recommended guidelines and provides accurate documentation for this process. Assists O.R. Clinical staff in obtaining necessary instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures.

* Senior Sterile Processing Technician - Full-Time (1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week)

Required qualifications:



  • Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or

  • Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

  • Within 1 year of hire National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association

  • 2 years experience as Sterile Processing Technician or OR Scrub Technician.


Preferred qualification:



  • Upon hire: CRCST, CBSPDT, or certified Operating Room Technician
