Job summary

Providence Milwaukie Hospital is seeking a Senior Sterile Processing Technician (Part‑Time) to manage cleaning, sterilization and distribution of sterile instruments. The role requires staying prepared for surgical and procedural needs with weekend on-call duties in Milwaukie, OR.

The technician collaborates with departments to ensure availability of sterile supplies. Candidates should have national sterile processing certifications and at least 3 years of recent experience, plus basic PC

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• National Certified Instrument Specialist – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• 3 years recent sterile processing experience
• Experience using personal computer and basic software applications

Senior Sterile Processing Technician (Part‑Time)

Providence Milwaukie Hospital – variable shift, weekends on‑call 1400–2230. 0.8 FTE. Location: Milwaukie, OR.

Responsibilities

The Tech‑Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization, and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for surgical cases as well as other procedures requiring sterile supplies and/or instrumentation.

Qualifications

• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or
• National Certified Instrument Specialist – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association

Pay & Compensation

Base pay range $22.44 – $34.33 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
