Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking a Senior Sterile Processing Technician to join our per-diem, on‑call team. The role focuses on cleaning, inspecting, maintaining and sterilizing instruments, and distributing them for surgical cases.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure availability of sterile supplies and equipment, supporting safe patient care. Required certifications and three years of experience are necessary.

Senior Sterile Processing Technician – Providence Medford Medical Center

On‑call, Variable Shift Schedule.

The Tech‑Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and proper sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for surgical cases as well as other procedures requiring sterile supplies and/or instrumentation.

Qualifications

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (upon hire)
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (upon hire)
• National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (upon hire)
• 3 years of recent sterile processing experience.
• Experience using personal computer and basic software applications.

Schedule & Compensation

Job Schedule: Per‑Diem

Job Shift: Variable

Pay range: $22.20 – $33.97 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
