American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Steering System Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of steering components and systems, ensuring schedules, performance, quality, reliability and value for Honda customers.

You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate across design, test, factory, purchasing and suppliers. This onsite role requires a college degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive design or engineering project management.
• Demonstrated automotive industry experience.
• CAD experience with CATIA V5/V6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead steering design projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with design, test, factory, purchasing and suppliers.
• Create schedules with milestones and manage item status.
• Release 2D drawings and specifications using CATIA and MS Office.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
