Job summary

Fidelity Manufacturing, LLC. in Ocala, FL is seeking a Steel Tank 3D Draftsman to design, draw and read complex 3D models of welded steel structures using SolidWorks, and to develop complete fabrication packages.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, apply welding and tolerancing knowledge, update drawings for changes, and provide engineering support across departments.

Qualifications

• AAS or higher in drafting, design technology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with design-to-order or custom fabrication.
• SolidWorks models and fabrication drawings for welded steel structures.
• SolidWorks certification is a plus; AutoCAD experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of welding, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
• Mentoring junior drafters and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of welded steel structures in SolidWorks.
• Develop complete fabrication 2D drawing packages with BOMs.
• Collaborate with engineering, PM, and production teams.
• Apply weld symbols, tolerances and fabrication methods.
• Review and update models to reflect changes.
• Provide engineering support to other departments.
