Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Senior to join our State and Local Government practice in Southern California offices. You will lead assurance engagements, collaborate with clients and decision makers, and guide team members to deliver high-quality financial statements and reports.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, 2 years of audit experience, SLG exposure a plus, and CPA eligibility or CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant audit experience required.
• SLG industry experience is a plus.
• CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute Assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
• Working closely with clients and decision makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
• Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
• Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
• Get the opportunity to work with many great clients.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
