Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a senior planner with substantial experience in project controls, scheduling, and startup planning for large EPC projects. The role requires coordinating with construction, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure commissioning and startup milestones are met and reported accurately.

You will manage schedules, develop progress curves, and provide insights on risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience
• Engineering or construction discipline qualification
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project controls planning, construction and engineering
• At least three years of experience on a project jobsite as a construction planner, preferably with start-up/shutdown planning experience

Responsibilities

• Establishes, maintains, and forecasts the schedule for all commissioning and startup activities
• Interfaces with the construction team regarding turnover packages, scope, sequencing, and schedule
• Works with Engineering and Supply Chain to prioritize activities and deliverables for testing and commissioning
• Develops and forecasts commissioning and startup progress curves
• Develops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Identifies critical-path activities for assigned discipline and coordinates with stakeholders
• Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules and assesses required workarounds
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for potential improvements
