Gusto, a leader in payroll and HR for small businesses, is seeking a Senior Staff-level UX Researcher. You will set a quantitative research roadmap across R&D, mentor others, and partner with senior leadership to translate data into strategy for AI features.

This role demands deep survey science, psychometrics, and hands-on data work in SQL and Python; you will influence major product bets and help scale research practice across teams, in a hybrid SF environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading quantitative UX research affecting executive decisions.
• Deep expertise in survey science, sampling, pricing research, and psychometrics.
• Experience with AI and LLM evaluation methods, logs analysis, and behavioral analysis.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; comfortable with Qualtrics for surveys.

Responsabilités

• Set and drive a quantitative research roadmap across R&D to reduce risk on product bets.
• Develop psychometric frameworks and validated scales to measure AI experiences.
• Own quantitative methods and survey strategy; generalize findings at scale with rigor.
• Partner with Data Science to fuse behavioral, attitudinal, and sentiment data.
• Build scalable customer profiles and large-sample usability benchmarking.
• Mentor researchers, create shared tools, and promote an AI-native way of working.
