At GE Healthcare, we are harnessing the power of technology to make healthcare more precise, personalized, and accessible for everyone. From driving clinical research and patient-centric innovation to delivering cutting‑edge digital and machine learning capabilities, we are committed to leading digital transformation and improving outcomes for patients and providers worldwide. In this role, you will design experiences that align with business goals and user needs, helping to deliver impactful healthcare solutions that scale across diverse environments.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a core member of a digital product team, driving end-to-end design decisions and shaping product direction in close partnership with engineering and product
  • Use participatory design methods (e.g., paper prototyping, co‑creation sessions, card sorting) to uncover vision, business models, assumptions, and implicit knowledge about user needs and behaviors
  • Translate abstract problems into structured solution roadmaps by asking thoughtful, probing questions
  • Capture insights from stakeholders and validate findings to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, mental models, and workflows
  • Synthesize research findings and create clear visualizations that communicate key insights around user and customer behaviors
  • Develop annotated wireframes and prototypes that effectively communicate user experience and application behavior
  • Lead and influence cross‑functional discussions on current UX initiatives and the broader design strategy
  • Build domain knowledge across industrial businesses, including products, processes, customers, and competitors
  • Drive effective documentation and communication of design solutions through wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories
  • Stay current on and lead exploration of emerging trends in design, technology, and industry practices
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in UX/design
Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Lean UX methodologies
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, OmniGraffle)
  • Ability to create concepts using sketching, brainstorming, and other generative techniques
  • Experience with interactive and time‑based prototyping tools (e.g., Hype, Keynote)
  • Strong visual communication and storytelling skills
Business Acumen
  • Ability to connect industry trends to internal strategy and recommend actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of design thinking principles and their business value
  • Systems thinking mindset, with the ability to understand how components interact within larger organizational and technical systems
Leadership
  • Advocates for a collaborative, transparent, and data‑informed decision‑making process
  • Effectively communicates UX concepts and rationale to cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrates empathy and awareness of cultural and organizational dynamics
  • Strong ability to interpret and communicate customer perspectives, behaviors, and motivations
  • Comfortable making informed decisions in ambiguous environments with incomplete information
