Job summary

Auria in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to join our Warrenton, VA team. This hybrid role focuses on architecture, integration, and leadership across complex programs for DoD and civil customers.

You will guide systems engineering efforts, ensure rigorous testing, and mentor engineers while collaborating with partners and customers to deliver reliable, mission-critical solutions on time.

Responsibilities

• Systems Engineering Excellence: Apply advanced problem-solving methodologies to complex problem sets, architecting and delivering solutions for entire systems and systems of systems.
• Technical Rigor & Acumen: Lead with engineering rigor, ensuring testing, repeatable processes, documentation, and reliable delivery across the development lifecycle.
• Customer & Partner Engagement: Act as a key technical point of contact to communicate with external partners and customers.
• Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with customer bases, negotiating through conflicts with transparency and integrity.
• Effective Technical Leadership: Lead the technical execution of projects and mentor across the organization.
• End-User Focus: Design architectures reflecting mission needs and integrate end-user feedback.
• Requirements & Verification: Author, trace, manage, and validate system requirements.
• Technical Milestones: Support major engineering milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).

• Effective Technical Leadership: Lead the technical execution of projects and initiatives, ensuring engineering processes are upheld. Serve as a prominent, respected mentor across the organization to develop talent and elevate the contributions of your team members.
