Zoox is looking for senior developers (5+ years experience) to build an insanely scalable platform using microservices, cloud databases, and message queues. This mission-critical platform will store and serve simulation metadata and results, integrate with other systems, and provide high-performance APIs for building a sophisticated UI product.

This is an ideal opportunity for an innovative Software Engineer to build a foundation capable of handling exponential data growth and complex use cases.

In this role, you will:

• Design storage architecture for scalability
• Develop and extend microservices for data ingestion and serving
• Design and implement APIs for advanced user interfaces
• Integrate with other systems via message queues
• Collaborate with internal teams on requirements and API design
• Ensure system correctness and 24/7 stability

Qualifications

• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Experience developing microservices in Java/Kotlin with Spring
• Experience designing distributed systems using asynchronous communication

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with high-level system design to meet user needs
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes

Compensation

Compensation includes salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. Salary ranges from $203,000 to $293,000. A sign-on bonus may be included. Compensation varies based on location, skills, and experience.
