With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

In this role, you will work on techniques for building efficient, and quality machine learning models. You will work on lifecycle from training to inference (e.g., training quality Large Language Models (LLMs), faster LLM inference, data efficiency, etc.). You will apply these techniques to core Gemini models and downstream applications like Artificial Intelligence (AI) Overviews, AI Mode, Waymo, and Gemini.Google Research addresses challenges that define the technology of today and tomorrow. From conducting fundamental research to influencing product development, our research teams have the opportunity to impact technology used by billions of people every day.

Our teams aspire to make discoveries that impact everyone, and core to our approach is sharing our research and tools to fuel progress in the field -- we publish regularly in academic journals, release projects as open source, and apply research to Google products. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on projects.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Develop and apply algorithms for improving quality/efficiency of Gemini training and inference.
• Write infrastructure code in Jax/C++/Python to productionize approaches.
