Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable microservices in a cloud-native AWS environment. You will write robust Java code, drive architectural direction, and integrate AI tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate development.

This US-based, remote role requires in-person interview. You will contribute to an event-driven, multi-tenant SaaS platform with FedRAMP considerations and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java experience.
• Experience in design/implementation of event-driven architectures and performant micro-services.
• Multi-tenant SaaS product development experience - server-side in Java & Go.
• Experience in designing, implementing RESTful APIs for an API-first application architecture.
• Great communication skills.
• Education: BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced experience with object-oriented analysis and design.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, implementation, and deployment of efficient, maintainable micro-services to deliver medium-to-high complexity features.
• Set a high bar for code/design reviews and fortify the team’s coding/quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers to implement features that align with the product vision.
• Work in an Agile environment, refine designs, review code, test, and address customer issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical solutions.
• Manage development and release processes for FedRAMP instances.
• Collaborate on designs, code reviews, testing, and UX/interactive designs.
• Develop automated tests across the full stack with code coverage metrics.
• Produce designs and rough estimates, implement features from requirements.
