Job summary

OneMain Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced software leader to design, build, and scale GraphQL APIs and data solutions using Aurora, Postgres, and Redis. You will write clean TypeScript across backend and frontend tasks, and drive multi-product development with collaboration across architects, PMs, and designers.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, conducting thorough code reviews, and improving CI/CD practices to deliver high-quality software reliably.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of software development leadership experience with cross-functional teams.
• Strong GraphQL schema design, query tuning and performance optimization.
• Proven TypeScript expertise for back-end and front-end development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs and data solutions with Aurora, Postgres, and Redis.
• Lead multi-product development with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Contribute to automated test design and review to ensure coverage and quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system reliability.
