Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer (FedRAMP) to lead secure, scalable full-stack development across regulated FedRAMP boundaries. You will design frontend interfaces and robust backend APIs, ensuring compliance and high availability across cloud environments.

Collaborate with Information Security, R&D, DevOps, and support teams to strengthen security posture, deliver rapid value, and maintain audit-ready systems, while mentoring peers in modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience building full-stack enterprise web applications in complex, highly regulated cloud environments.
• Backend engineering using Python, Java, or Node.js for architecting resilient RESTful APIs, asynchronous event processing, and microservices.
• Frontend engineering with modern UIs using React, Vue.js, or Angular with solid state-management fundamentals.
• Cloud experience deploying and running applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container orchestration with GKE.
• AI-assisted development tools and LLM-driven workflows to accelerate prototyping and code review within enterprise security boundaries.
• Security-focused development with FedRAMP/NIST controls and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications across governed FedRAMP enclaves.
• Build and enforce zero-trust architecture via secure coding practices and governance.
• Architect, build, and optimize RESTful and gRPC APIs and containerized microservices on GCP/GKE.
• Design, query, and optimize relational/non-relational databases with strict data isolation and auditing.
• Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and champion automated testing and CI/CD security integration.
