Job summary

DDN in United States is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the ongoing development of a high-performance, S3 compliant file system. You will design, implement, and optimize the S3 layer using C/C++, while collaborating with global teams to integrate monitoring and health checks.

Strong leadership, communication, and self-starting capabilities are essential. You will mentor junior developers, participate in architectural reviews, and contribute to production deployment and defect

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in system software development and complex problem resolution.
• Expert knowledge of C/C++ and Linux development including file system development.
• Strong understanding of OS principles and kernel architecture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, extend, and improve our S3 implementation.
• Design and develop in C/C++ under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Define and articulate technical designs with the appropriate details.
• Full application development from design to development to testing to deployment.
• Participate in technical reviews throughout the course of development.
• Architecture and troubleshooting of system level components, especially the file system and related storage system components.
• Undertake research based technical tasks and derive conclusions; design solutions based on research.
• Mentor junior developers
• Support product deployment and production defect resolution in a timely manner
