Job summary

Nubank seeks a Senior Staff Product Manager for its Nu Global unit in São Paulo. You will own strategy across Core and Growth, align markets and functions, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver a simple, global financial experience with fast, fee‑free money movement across 35+ countries.

You will mentor PMs, drive portfolio priorities, and raise the bar for product craft while balancing local regulatory needs with scalable platform reuse.

We are looking for an IC8/M4 Product Manager to provide senior product leadership across Nu Global Core and Growth, connecting customer experience, business strategy, risk, and execution across geographies.

As Senior Staff Product Manager, you will be the senior product reference for Nu Global and a strategic partner to the Business Area Lead.

You will own product direction across Core and Growth, set portfolio priorities, and lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Risk, Legal, and external partners.

You will combine hands‑on ownership of critical Core journeys with strategic oversight of the Growth portfolio, while raising the product craft and operating bar across the business unit.

You'll be responsible for

Product strategy and portfolio leadership

• Define the Nu Global product vision, strategy, outcomes, and 12–24 month roadmap across Core and Growth.

• Identify the most important problems to solve, make explicit product and investment trade-offs, and align senior stakeholders across markets and functions.

• Act as a senior escalation point for ambiguous, cross‑functional, and cross‑market decisions.

Core & Growth product experience

• Own major parts of the Core value proposition and the critical customer journeys required to deliver a simple, high‑quality global experience.

• Drive roadmap, dependencies, launch readiness, risk mitigation, and post‑launch learning across multiple teams within the organization - namely Global Product and Platforms.

• Raise the bar for product quality and craft in partnership with Design/Nu Design System team and Engineering, applying scalable platform standards where relevant.

• Provide strategic oversight for Growth across acquisition, waitlist, onboarding, activation, and referral—setting direction, priorities, and measurement. Active champion of Growth Hacking and experimentation, driving the team towards rapid learning cycles

• Ensure the product scales across countries while balancing local requirements, customer experience, regulatory obligations, and long‑term platform reuse.

Product craft and multiplier impact

• Serve as a technical and product reference for the BU on product architecture, data flows, platform constraints, operational consequences, and scalability.

• Mentor PMs and senior partners; raise the bar for Product Sense, Product Execution, prioritization, metrics, communication, and decision quality.

• Establish reusable product standards, rituals, and decision mechanisms that improve how multiple teams operate.

• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, calibration, and PM chapter or guild initiatives.

What success looks like

• Nu Global has one coherent Core and Growth strategy, with clear priorities, ownership, sequencing, and outcome metrics.

• Teams execute with greater autonomy because dependencies, decision rights, risks, and operating mechanisms are explicit.

• The acquisition-to-activation funnel is measurable and continuously improving across markets.

• Critical KYC, defense, and operational responsibilities are integrated into the customer experience without avoidable launch risk.

• Product craft and strategic thinking improve across the BU, not only within the role’s immediate scope.
