Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an IT Technical Product Manager to define requirements and manage the lifecycle of a six-module Catalog suite. You will lead strategy, align with business goals, and drive MVPs and quarterly releases with strong SOX controls and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires SAFe/Scrum experience, Java/Node.js/Python proficiency, and a focus on regulatory compliance and data security across legal, risk, IT, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related.
• Three (3) years of experience in IT Technical Product Management.
• Experience with Gas Power Services processes, service catalog updates, and contract margin reviews.

Job Description Summary Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Responsible for defining IT project requirements for all six modules within the Catalog suite application, ensuring compliance, and managing the strategic development and lifecycle of features from concept through delivery. Lead the IT project strategy and roadmap for the application, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. Own the short-term IT project roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases. Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Work closely with cross functional teams across financial, technical, legal, and operational domains to gather project requirements and ensure SOX compliance. Define IT application features and functionality, translating requirements into technical specifications. Engage frequently with the technical development team to facilitate discussions, provide clarification, user-story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation, contributing actively to design activities and decisions. Prioritize IT product features and enhancements based on business stakeholder needs, compliance regulations, and user feedback. Collaborate with IT development teams to ensure features are designed, built, and tested to meet regulatory standards and internal controls. Monitor application performance and user feedback to continuously improve functionality, usability, and regulatory compliance. Provide regular updates to senior stakeholder management on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure the IT project documentation complies with SOX requirements, including audit trails, access control logs and other necessary regulatory artifacts. Own and manage the IT Feature backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready. Routinely collaborate with UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions. Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on user personas. Partner with the Service Owner to ensure healthy development process. Identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet project needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related. Three (3) years of experience in IT Technical Product Management. Work experience to include: Gas Power Services business processes to include: contractual services life cycle management, service catalog updates, and contract margin review; Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and Java coding principles; Working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment; Project management using Scrum methodology; Programming using Java, Node.js, and Python; SOX compliance principles including: ITIL, financial reporting systems, and audit management tools; Development protocols to include: caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security; Advising ‘buy versus build’ recommendations, scoping Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for features and functionalities, and driving market timing decisions; and Working with cross-functional teams including legal, risk, IT, and engineering.
