Job description

At Intuit, world-class design helps power the success of small businesses and self-employed people around the world. Our designers are involved at every step of a project—from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs. We’re innovating through machine learning and conversational UI to make every interaction delightfully simple.

We’re inspired by the courage, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit of our small-business customers. If you’re ready to create bold and elegant solutions that power prosperity around the globe, we want to hear from you.

Why you should join us

Join Intuit’s Futures team as a Senior Staff Product Designer. The Futures team develops and incubates emerging technologies, user experiences, and capabilities that will transform the future of our customers, products, and business. Our work focuses on solving problems for our customers, small businesses, and consumers, with technologies such as AI and leading-edge fintech. We collaborate across teams to influence and contribute to Intuit’s business and strategy.

In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibilities from spearheading to launching the next generation of customer experiences and capabilities. You will be part of a small, multi-talented team of engineers and product managers, incubating transformative experiences and services for Intuit.

Responsibilities
  1. Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that align user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms.
  2. Visualize ideas and concepts to communicate effectively and compellingly to internal leaders, partners, and customers.
  3. Translate visions into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
  4. Deliver UX visions, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes directly.
  5. Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other teams.
  6. Use facilitative leadership skills to drive stakeholder outcomes, inspire learning, and foster collaboration.
  7. Be bold: Create compelling visions and translate concepts into simple designs.
  8. Learn fast: Explore ideas through prototypes and test hypotheses with users using various methodologies.
  9. Storytelling: Communicate design approaches effectively and inspire teams.
  10. Manage and mentor: Coach junior designers in craft and soft skills development.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with performance-based rewards.

The expected base pay range for this position is: New York: $181,500 - 251,000

This role is eligible for bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits, as detailed at Intuit: Careers | Benefits. Pay is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. We ensure ongoing pay equity across ethnicity and gender categories.

  • Deep knowledge of design principles and methods.
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing and innovating.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
