Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Developer Experience to own the technical foundation of the Moveworks platform. You will design scalable, extensible developer platforms, APIs, and tooling, ensuring end-to-end delivery that boosts productivity across 100+ external teams and internal users.

You will set architectural standards, drive platform strategy, and mentor senior engineers while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, generality, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing, building, operating production systems.
• Experience leading design and multi-year operation of developer platforms with 100+ external teams.
• Strong systems engineer with fluency in production microservices environments at scale.
• Built general-purpose platforms others depend on with solid abstractions.
• End-to-end ownership: design, code, debug in production, iterate from feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core developer platforms: SDKs, APIs, runtime abstractions, tooling infrastructure.
• Own end-to-end delivery of products that increase developer productivity: faster time-to-market, higher-quality artifacts, lower friction.
• Define platform primitives other products build on with a bias toward generality and reliability.
• Drive measurable supply metrics: developer activation, integration velocity, artifact quality, ecosystem breadth.
• Lead technical strategy for platform areas: roadmap, API design, cross-team alignment.
• Set the engineering bar: architecture, design standards, observability, operational excellence.
• Mentor senior engineers; raise the team's technical depth.
