Job summary

Worq AI is seeking an experienced nurse to join our Day Surgery Operating Theatre team. You will work alongside Nursing Leaders to deliver patient-centred and compassionate care during ophthalmic procedures, primarily eye surgery.

You will handle scrub duties and ensure accurate documentation, contributing to a safe and efficient theater environment. You must hold a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid nursing license.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid nursing license.
• Candidates with no Operating Theatre (OT) experience are welcome to apply.
• Willingness to commit to a 5-day work week with on-call duties.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during operative procedures, mainly Eye Surgery, and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform Scrub/AU nurse responsibilities per procedures.
• Coordinate with units to escort and orientate patients for safe transport.
• Provide post-operative recovery care.
• Review nursing protocols and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, initiative, and engagement.
• Work on-call and participate in weekend rotation as required.

Job description

Your Key Responsibilities Are

• Assist surgeon(s) during operative procedures, mostly an Eye Surgery. Ensure that appropriate documentation is done.
• Carries out Scrub/ AU nurse responsibilities in accordance to procedure(s).
• Coordinate with other units, escort and orientates patients to ensure a safe and seamless patient transport and transfer.
• Post-operative recovery Care.
• Participate in the review nursing protocols, policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by the management.
• Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, agility and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance & engagement.
• Able to commit to 5 days' work week (off on Sunday and PH) and work on-call duties.
• Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board licenses.
• Candidates with no prior Operating Theatre (OT) experience who are interested in pursuing OT specialisation are welcome to apply.
