Job summary

Mindera seeks a Senior Java Fullstack Developer to join a collaborative, lean, politics-free team in Portugal. You will mentor teams, own end-to-end delivery, and drive architectural decisions while embracing AI-assisted coding transparency.

You will work across Java/Kotlin back-end and TypeScript/React front-end stacks, with cloud exposure (Azure/AWS), microservices, and modern tooling. Open to candidates based in Portugal with flexible office options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of Java/Kotlin experience including latest versions.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React/Next.js.
• Experience with Spring or Micronaut and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of API protocols: GraphQL, REST; API management with Apigee.
• Experience in observability, testing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and inspire the development team across delivery lifecycle.
• Own code from development to deployment and maintenance.
• Diagnose production issues and devise robust solutions.
• Contribute to solution design and implementation.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7 years of experience with Java/Kotlin programming language, including latest versions;
• Experience with Typescript;
• Experience with React / Nextjs;
• Experience in any of the popular web frameworks like Spring (boot, cloud, data flow) or Micronaut;
• Knowledge of architectural styles: Microservices, Web services, SOA and API Protocols: GraphQL Federation, REST API;
• API management with Apigee
• Experience in monitoring & observability: OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, other Observability tools;
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development;
• Cloud technology experience: Azure or AWS Cloud , Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions;
• Experience in working with databases: MongoDB, MySQL;
• Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, NexusPro (or) similar;
• Working practices: Knowledge and experience of agile frameworks and practices: Scrum/Kanban, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps, Continuous Integration & Delivery, Pair Programming etc;
• Proficiency in applying design patterns effectively to develop scalable and maintainable solutions;
• Fluency in English;
• Mandatory to be located in Portugal
• Background in e-commerce/retail would be appreciated;
