Job description

As a Senior Staff Integration and Test Engineer, you will be a recognized expert contributing to Saab Inc.’s Surveillance Division’s business growth. This position will be located at the Headquartered office in Syracuse, NY. Relocation available.

Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Assemble, integrate, and test complex systems.
  2. Coordinate the transfer of technologies, processes, test environments, and procedures.
  3. Stand up independent test environments based upon known baselines.
  4. Utilize automated test methodologies, when applicable, in a verification & production environment.
  5. Write verification analysis reports documenting the results of verification activities.
  6. Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting, problem decomposition, root cause analysis, and risk analysis.
  7. Actively coach and mentor less experienced I&T engineers in an effort to grow the engineering capabilities of the team.
  8. Contribute to project planning by providing cost estimates, schedule estimates, and task assignments.

Compensation Range: $112,900 - $146,800

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline is required.
  2. 10+ years of related test experience in a technical/engineering environment.
  3. Strong Test Leadership; including test execution, schedule and personnel.
  4. Experience working with partners on transfer of technology.
  5. Understanding of integration of hardware and software subsystems.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships in a team environment.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills, able to effectively communicate to senior leadership, customers, and peers.
  8. Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Hold or be able to obtain U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.
  11. Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
