Job summary

DiDi's autonomous driving unit seeks a Sr. Software Engineer / Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to lead architecture for the core platform powering our AD software stack.

You will define the technical roadmap for high-performance middleware, compiler infrastructure (ccatch), onboard toolchains, and large-scale simulation frameworks (ezsim). As a technical leader, collaborate with Autonomy and Simulation teams to maximize stability, enforce standards, and accelerate developer productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related field.
• 6–10+ years in software engineering for real-time/linux/autonomous platforms.
• Proven technical leadership and cross-team initiatives.
• Expert C++, low-latency IPC/middleware expertise.
• Deep knowledge of compiler toolchains (Clang/GCC, LLVM) and build systems (Bazel/CMake).
• Experience debugging kernel/user-space crashes and memory issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and evolution of core platform for AD software stack.
• Own build infrastructure, toolchains, and compiler execution strategies.
• Architect simulation platforms and diagnostic toolchains.
• Drive profiling, memory optimization, and latency reductions.
• Act as an infrastructure domain expert for onboard teams.
• Elevate internal development tools and workflows; mentor engineers.
• Lead technical design reviews and establish architecture guidelines.
