Job summary

Fortanix is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Infrastructure and DevOps to join our Infrastructure team in driving scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will mentor engineers and shape DevOps practices across development, testing, and production.

You will work with Linux, Python/Go/Rust/Ruby for automation and collaborate across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments to deliver robust data security solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering in devops, full-stack implementations, and operations.
• Experience as a DevOps architect or similar senior role.
• Strong Linux expertise and scripting/automation skills.
• Proficiency with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and infrastructure initiatives with design and architecture ownership.
• Build and maintain resilient, scalable CI/CD pipelines and runtimes.
• Create architecture diagrams, standards, and documentation for DevOps workflows.
• Automate development, testing, release, and deployment processes.
• Promote security by design and shift-left security practices.
