Job summary

Fortanix is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer – Infrastructure and DevOps to join the Infrastructure team. You will lead DevOps efforts, design scalable infrastructure for development, testing, and production, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of software engineering experience, strong Linux skills, and proficiency in automation with Python/Go/Rust/Ruby. Mentoring and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in development, operations, and full stack implementations.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Architect or similar role.
• Solid experience with Linux.
• Proficiency in automation languages (Python/Go/Rust/Ruby).
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and CI/CD patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology leadership to the DevOps Team.
• Design and manage a scalable infrastructure for development, testing, and production.
• Create scalable CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment processes.
• Develop architecture diagrams, docs, and standards for DevOps practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across teams.
