Job Description

General Responsibilities: Investigate sites to identify any physical or environmental risks. Perform field studies including airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, asbestos surveys, and Phase I preliminary site assessments. Develop sampling strategies and outline required analyses. Research regulatory standards and hazard data. Evaluate sampling results. Prepare risk assessment reports and develop recommendations to correct and improve the environment. Present and communicate findings and report recommendations to clients.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report safety issues or concerns to management.
2. Integrate quality leadership practices into daily activities.
3. Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
4. Conduct site testing and make recommendations for systems design on medium-sized projects with complex features.
5. Assist more senior professionals on larger, more complex projects.
6. Perform site visits, field observations, and data collection.
7. Implement technical requirements to complete client projects, supervising field staff in sampling, testing, and data collection.
8. Develop written proposals for clients, including quality control review of proposals written by others.
9. Evaluate laboratory and field data and compile reports.
10. Lead or participate in meetings and client communications related to specific projects.
11. Oversee work performed by lower-level staff.
12. Work under the supervision of a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
3. Master's degree preferred.
4. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
