Job summary
Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Full-Stack Engineer to drive cloud-native architecture and modernize monolithic systems into scalable microservices. You will lead technical directions, collaborate with architecture and product teams, and mentor engineers across divisions.
You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript, SPA frameworks, ML workflows, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to deliver robust, scalable banking solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience coding in languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift.
- 10+ years in full lifecycle of system development from conception to production.
Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for your domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation.
- Lead modernization of monolithic systems into microservice architectures.
- Collaborate with senior engineering and architecture leaders to define long-term platform strategy and API standards.
- Mentor engineers and elevate the skills of peers and junior engineers.
- Balance deep hands-on contribution with team mentoring across multiple projects.
