Job Description

We have an immediate opening in our Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, California office for a Staff or Senior Staff-Level Environmental Professional to assist with the following tasks:

• Conducting various field tasks comprised of site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractor.
• Preparing daily field reports.
• Various office tasks comprised of data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases.
• Assisting with report preparation and other project documents.
• Phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractor/vendor.
• Phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users.
• Management of tasks and task budgets.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification: Current OSHA HAZWOPER training. Other certifications and registrations are a plus.
• Experience in environmental-related work, including field tasks such as:
  • Site reconnaissance
  • Soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling
  • Borehole logging
  • Monitoring well installation
  • Air monitoring
  • Coordination and oversight of subcontractors
  • Preparation of daily field reports
• Experience with office-based project tasks, including:
  • Data compilation
  • Review and assimilation of historical information and environmental databases
  • Assisting with report preparation and project documentation
  • Phone and email coordination with subcontractors and vendors
  • Phone and email coordination with site owners/users for interviews and discussions
  • Management of project tasks and task budgets
• Experience working on construction sites (preferred).
• Strong foundational writing skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E1903-11 standards.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with support teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information

• Salary Range: $75,000-85,000, depending on experience.
• Job Type: Full-Time; in-office.
• Location: Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, CA.
