Job summary

Spreetail is hiring a Staff Engineer to build a scalable, AI-native, multi-tenant 3PL platform for external clients. You will own backend systems for onboarding, inventory, warehousing, and order fulfillment, shaping core architecture and engineering standards.

This remote, US-based role emphasizes distributed systems expertise, domain knowledge in ecommerce logistics, and leadership without formal authority to drive critical technology decisions and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years building production backend systems.
• Experience leading the technical direction of a team or workstream (design reviews, mentorship, setting standards).
• Experience with ecommerce order management, inventory, warehouse, or logistics systems is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, 0-to-1 environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-tenant backend platform for external clients.
• Define architectural direction for a 0-to-1 platform.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and set coding standards.
• Partner with product and operations to deliver scalable, observable systems.
