Job summary

Sandisk seeks a senior engineering leader to shape front-end wafer test strategy across global sites, driving high I/O parallelism and low-latency solutions to improve yield and reliability.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with memory technology experts, and oversee test development from NPI to mass production while aligning hardware solutions with business goals and reducing test costs through DFM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.
  • Proficient in C, C++, and Python for test automation.
  • Deep understanding of NAND, DDR3–DDR5, LPDDR3–LPDDR5, GDDR3–GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4, and PCIe Gen5/Gen6.
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment platforms such as Advantest and Teradyne.
  • Background in firmware development, test software architecture, and data analytics for yield and quality improvement.
  • Specialized in DRAM/NAND memory and SSD storage technologies for data center and AI platforms.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the long-term vision for front-end (wafer) test coverage, focusing on high I/O parallelism and low-latency solutions.
  • Proactively develop long-range initiatives aligned with company goals to achieve best-in-class yield, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Champion disruptive design-for-test and design-for-debugmethodologies to enhance coverage and optimize test cost; collaborate closely with memory technology experts.
  • Oversee wafer test development from NPI through mass production across multiple geographies within Product and Test Engineering.
  • Align hardware solutions with organizational requirements and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM) mindset, creating flexible/reliable hardware and software test infrastructure to reduce CapEx for new designs.
  • Investigate qualification and yield issues during NPI, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve coverage and process robustness.
  • Transform test data into actionable insights for design and manufacturing teams to enhance product quality and yield.
  • Guide peers, lead technical reviews, and serve as a recognized subject-matter expert.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.

Preferred:

  • Deep understanding of design principles, including simulation, emulation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands‑on experience in functional and stress testing, with proficiency in failure analysis using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and signal injection tools.
  • Proficient in C, C++, and Python for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of NAND (Toggle/ONFI), DDR3–DDR5, LPDDR3–LPDDR5, GDDR3–GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4, and PCIe Gen5/Gen6.
  • Experienced with Automated Test Equipment platforms such as Advantest and Teradyne.
  • Background in firmware development, test software architecture, and data analytics for yield and quality improvement.
  • Specialized in DRAM/NAND memory and SSD storage technologies for data center and AI platforms.
