Job summary

Google Home seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Intelligent Signals, to lead multi-year architecture and signal processing initiatives. The role blends on-device and in-home sensors to enable ambient intelligence across Google’s Home lineup.

You will partner with AI and hardware teams, drive technical strategy, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable, cutting-edge solutions for a connected home ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 7 years leading technical project strategy and ML design/infrastructure.
• 5 years with one or more: Speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or ML specialization.
• Experience with Sensor Fusion.
• Experience with Signal Processing.

Responsibilities

• Drive multi-year technical goal and strategy for intelligent signals and architecture.
• Define system architecture leveraging sensors to power intelligence across products.
• Advance innovation across hardware and software stacks for signal processing solutions.
• Partner with AI, hardware, software, and product teams to align roadmaps.
• Act as technical authority guiding teams through pivots and maintaining technical excellence.
