Team Overview:
In this role, you will be a core member of LinkedIn’s CORE AI team and will partner closely with other verticals in Data and AI organization and other Product teams. You’ll be driving and managing all data curation and annotation efforts across LinkedIn. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming how we evaluate our most cutting-edge AI based products leveraging LLMs to enhance our processes. You will oversee the development and improvement of the tools and platforms that support these activities.

Success in this role hinges on building strong partnerships. You’ll work closely with teams across the company, ensuring their data requirements are met swiftly and effectively. Your vision, leadership, and strategic mindset will be critical as we push the boundaries of what’s possible.

This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities:


- Work with large-scale data to build systems which will leverage and support new techniques for evaluating AI based products
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and collaborator orgs, drive and perform best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional critical projects.
- Hold the team to a high ML craftsmanship bar and actively reduce ML tech debt, designing systems that scale with algorithms and with time, and improve engineering productivity.
- Partner with data science & analytics teams, product & infrastructure teams to build new innovative ideas to improve member experience.
- Bring together industry research and develop opportunities to contribute back to industry research


Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions

- 2+ years in a Lead, Staff, Principal, Architect, or similar technical Leadership position.

- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Machine Learning or Recommendation Systems


Preferred Qualifications


- 10+ years of experience, including extensive work with leading solutions related to evaluation of complex systems, AI/Machine Learning and/or experimentation

- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Economics and related fields
- Background in one or more of the following areas: experimentation, large scale evaluations, machine learnings, deep learning, Large Language Models (LLM)
- Demonstrated ability to work with peers in engineering across teams to set technical directions

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
