Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. invites a Staff Engineer II to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale applications across Bain’s internal software landscape.

You will collaborate with internal technology teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable web and mobile solutions using Microsoft technologies and Azure services. You will lead technically, mentor engineers, and partner with external vendor teams on larger programs while promoting Agile practices and strong engineering standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong track record in software development roles.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprints, scrums, user stories; Jira or Azure DevOps used.
• Experience architecting initiatives aligned with architecture and security practices.
• Experience providing technical leadership to developers and senior engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate across varied project stakeholders.
• Can resolve conflicts, dependencies, and delivery challenges across technical areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support custom enterprise applications as a senior IC.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and external teams to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Evaluate options and advise on scope, architecture, and effort.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions meeting requirements.
• Mentor engineers and support professional development.
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and database administration.
• Promote Agile processes and engineering standards.
